Radio Lava Recording Studio

Because of it's beautiful setting at the foot of the ancient Magalies mountains, has one of the lowest carbon footprints a business can have.

Recording artists are encourage to stay over for as long as is needed, we're blessed with ample accommodation. Recording at Radio Lava is also an experience of life in the veld.

Gear wise; we are capable of recording 8 channels at once, so bands with drummers - no problem! Good mics for high quality vocals and whatever tickles your sound waves.

  • Peter Hoven's music have been doing very well on the Highveld Stereo Top 40
  • Hopeville, (TV series we scored), won The Rose d’Or Festival award for best international series, and has recently been nominated for an Emmy.
  • The music for the feature film "Die ongelooflike avonture van Hanna Hoekom" (Spookasem Films) has been hailed by critics and public as "Excellent"

    Rates? Cheap since we are currently running a special at R1,500 a day, or R2,000 if you choose to make use of the lovely guest house to stay over.
